About Ministry of Small Things…
What started Ministry of Small Things was a sermon – Patrick Dixon at Destiny Church in Glasgow, years before it got to this stage and even now it is in its early stages.
I was getting caught up in big ministries, missionaries and feeling a little lost as to where my contribution might be. But when you think about it – most of the real work is done in our back yard. Salvation over a cup of coffee and a muffin. Encouragement from one person to another.
Bit by bit, God as been shaping it, He showed me this verse:
“When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
1 Corinthians 15:3
That seed of something else could be in the form of a card, a piece of wall art or the gift of a t-shirt or sweatshirt. It could be a video encouragement you share via phone.. the seed can be a multitude of things, just a small thing that is a reminder that God is there, that he sees them.
And that is what Ministry of Small Things intends to provide – seed for the sower, whether into your own life or the lives of others..
